    Assurance - Senior Associate

    Role Purpose: Key Responsibility Areas • Responsible to complete allocated complex assignments/tasks within the engagements as per BDO methodology in line with respective timeline. • Responsible to draft/guide the team in preparation/review financial statements of the allocated assignments as per IFRS, ensuring that all notes and disclosures are complete. • Lead the allocated assignments. • Coordinate with clients in respect of allocated assignments at the start of the allocation and prepare detailed project plan and communicate / agree on dates and schedules with the client. Organize and attend preliminary meetings with clients as per allocated portfolio. • Provide assistance and support to AM/Managers on assignments as and when required. Respond promptly and accurately to queries and request. • Understand the client's requirement in detail. Discuss with colleagues (AM), whenever required, organize ideas logically and present thoughts rationally and confidently. • Identify audit & accounting issues on a timely basis and discuss with the engagement team and the client. Identify a proper resolution of these matters. • Demonstrate effective two-way communication and skills to resolve the issues. • Be a team player, treat everyone equally & respectfully. Be open to accept the work. Support senior colleagues in the allocated work. Discuss with the senior team members or colleagues any technical or project management issues faced. Demonstrate collaboration. • Support junior team members and guide them to perform various tasks. Ensure proper mentoring of the staff allocated. Prepare reports and communicate findings and recommendations to the client and agree with them. Lead the client audit closing meetings. • Develop an understanding of the client’s needs, commercial focus and business objectives, and timely anticipate issues and questions. Discuss with the senior team members and propose relevant services and solutions to the client and seek new opportunities. Start looking for ways to exceed client expectations. • Take ownership of self-assessment, ensure to complete appraisal at the end of each file, quarter & year, be receptive and accept constructive feedback.     Manager - Technology Risk Advisory Services

    Role Purpose: Technical: • Proven experience with relevant data protection and privacy laws and regulations (e.g. EU GDPR) • You have significant experience in assessing and advising client on data privacy as per relevant legislative frameworks including Conducting Privacy Impact Assessments, Third party assessments, Privacy strategy and governance, PII/PHI data inventories and data flow mapping/ techniques, Privacy Training and Awareness, Privacy Incident Response etc. • You have experience in conducting and delivering ERP audits (Oracle, SAP etc.) • You have experience in testing Information Security Governance and Management. • You are an expert in IT General Controls Audits • You have experience in assessing IT Infrastructure, configuration and Network Architecture in accordance with appropriate standards such as: o National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) o SANS Institute o Information Security Forum (ISF) and o ISO 27001 o ISO 22301 • Preferable to have Internal Audit experience but not essential as we can train you and give you exposure to Internal Audit within Technology Risk Assurance. • Experience in Business Continuity Management would be a plus but not essential as we can train you in this area. • Pursuit of highest professional standards, specialist skills in technology and credibility in the market through continuous professional education, certification, contributions to professional groups and appropriate networking. • Contribute towards managing the overall client service delivery in accordance with BDO UAE quality guidelines & methodologies. • Ensure thorough project documentation and maintain electronic filing in accordance to BDO guidelines. • Complete project assignments with minimum supervision and within the timelines provided by the management.     Role Purpose: • Answer, screen and transfer all incoming telephone calls to the appropriate extension. Friendly and customer service oriented telephone manners must be maintained at all times. • Take notes/ messages and forward to the concerned person, in case the concerned person is not available to take the call. All messages must be forwarded immediately via phone or email. • Maintain cleanliness of the reception desk and reception area at all times. Magazines and other reading materials at the reception area should be regularly updated and presented in an orderly manner. • Offer refreshments to guests. • Manage all incoming and outgoing local and international couriers and postages. • Allocate all incoming couriers, faxes etc. to the concerned person. • Ensure adequate stocks of courier bags, airway bills, envelopes and stamps. • Submit monthly attendance report to the HR Department & inform the HR Department for Sick leaves taken by employees. • Ensure proper and systematic filing system in the office. • Maintain & order office stationary, printing materials and pantry supplies. • Offer general Administrative Assistance to team members as and when required. • Maintain 'Petty Cash' and ensure all payables have been duly approved as well as are supported with payment proof, arrange monthly consolidation with the accounts department. • Manage the conference room schedules, ensure that schedules don’t intersect and that appointments are duly noted in the calendar; inspect conference room before every meeting to ensure general neatness and presentation. • Review Partner calendars and schedules on daily basis. • Manage & respond to all maintenance issues and ensure vendors, suppliers etc. are contacted and contracted immediately to resolve any occurring malfunctions within office premises.
